Medicare outpatient therapy caps

The Medicare outpatient therapy caps exception process is scheduled to end on
December 31.  There is an annual limit of $1860 for physical and speech
therapy and $1860 for occupational therapy under Medicare.   An "exceptions
process" was established which allows coverage after this limit has been
reached on a "case by case" basis.

The Leadership Council of Aging Organizations [www.lcao.org ] plans to send a
letter to the Congressional leadership [with a copy to all members] asking
that action be taken before the end of the 111th Congress to extend the
"exception process".  NAPGCM will sign this letter.

Congress is in recess until November 15.  There is a lot "on its plate".  If
you want this "exceptions process" continued, let your Congressional
legislators know your position on this topic.
